Rig Rescue and Rappel Level I
This subject is an introduction to high angle rescue and evacuation for both the exper- ienced professional and for those wishing to pursue a career in this field. Topics include technical hauling and lowering systems, rappel techniques, equipment use, selection, care, and the systems approach to anchor selection.

Day One:
Explanation of equipment use and strengths.
Anchor Selection and construction.
Team safety.
Edge safety.
Various belay techniques.
Various rappel techniques.
Day Two:
Advanced Anchoring techniques.
Tying off a belay in tandem and solo.
Tying off a rappel device.
Mock situation tests.
Introduction to Haul Systems.

Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate from the school.
