High Angle Rescue Trainer Certificate Course
Designed for individuals who are actively or wish to become directly involved in the training of high angle rescue staff in fire, police, professional rescue groups, municipalities, military, and industry. A Trainer Certificate is awarded to successful participants, and a biannual two-day requalification is necessary to maintain the certificate.
You will be required to demonstrate flawless practical skills as well as a sound understanding of limitations and advantages of specific techniques. You will also be required to demonstrate an ability to safely train others with a focus on risk management.

Explanation of equipment use and strengths.
Anchor Selection and construction.
Team safety.
Edge safety.
Various belay techniques.
Various rappel techniques.
Day Two:
Tying off a belay in tandem and solo.
Tying off a rappel device.
Rope ascending techniques.
Rescuer positioning.
Day Three:
Haul Systems.
"Pick off" Rescues
Introduction to basket work.
Day Four:
Packaging in various rescue baskets.
Lowering and hauling baskets.
Barrow Boy positioning.
Tyrolean Traverse.
Day Five:
Written Test
Practical Test
